Event Programme
Friday 15 January — Montague Street & Showground
Celebrations will commence in Montague Street, Goulburn with a display of veteran and vintage cars, racing cars and motorcycles — representative of those competing in the 1927 AGP and special interest cars from past AGPs and historic events. Mid-afternoon these vehicles will parade to the Goulburn Showground where this first Grand Prix was run. The official opening will feature special guests from the motoring world, demonstration laps on the 1927 circuit by invited representative GP cars and motorcycles, and static displays of all period appropriate vehicles.
Saturday 16 January — Showground (Recreation Area)
Celebrations continue at the Showground (Recreation Area) with static displays, demonstration laps, stalls including food stalls, entertainment, dress in the era of 1927 competition with random judging throughout the day, and carnival rides.
Saturday evening features a celebration dinner (pre-booked, pre-paid). The raffle for the Hyundai i20 N car will be drawn at the dinner along with auction items and competitions.
Sunday 17 January — Showground to Windellama
Assembly will be at the Showground to travel to Windellama for the unveiling of the memorial to Geoff Meredith, winner of the 1927 AGP, at his property on Windellama Road. Food will be available or bring a picnic lunch.
Monday 18 January — GEAR Track Day, ONE Raceway
GEAR (Golden Era Auto Racing club) will host a special track day for historic and classic vehicles at ONE Raceway, Braidwood Road, Goulburn. GEAR day entries will be released later in the year.
